Rhodes + Associates provided support to the client by way of providing schedules of quantities for a large retail development in the Christchurch CBD. The project was complex with several stages, multiple buildings, and an existing heritage building that was being retained.

New Brighton Surf Life Saving Club

The oldest surf club in New Zealand, their clubhouse was damaged in the Canterbury earthquake, with this new development being built on a site further down the beach.

81 – 85 Beach Street

A three-storey commercial and retail redevelopment with an extension. The property has two street frontages.

New Zermatt

A luxury 5-star chalet located above Lake Wakatipu. Constructed over five levels on a steep site, this chalet includes features such as a gym, sauna, cinema, billiards room, internal lift, wine cellar, multiple en-suite guest rooms, and dining and lounge areas.

Te Atamira

Retro-fit of a multi-purpose, community arts and cultural space in Queenstown, with a total of 22 purpose-built spaces including dance studios, music rooms, recording studio, theatre, pottery studio, and art gallery.

Gibbston Valley Winery

The project included building a new administration building, along with refurbishment and alterations of the Barrel Room and function space.

West Melton Community Centre

A multi-purpose community and recreation centre, replacing the old hall. Facilities include a main stadium, meeting rooms, catering kitchen, play-centre and Plunket facilities, a Scout hall, and youth area.

QT Hotel, Queenstown

This project comprised complex demolition of part of the existing hotel, a new 69-room luxury hotel, restaurant, bar, conference facilities, and reception lobby upgrade. Close consultation with the design team throughout the feasibility and design development phase was required to meet the client’s budget.

BP Greymouth
