Development included reconstruction of the North and South Quadrangles and a new workshop and plantrooms. The majority of the building was constructed underground to avoid obscuring the facade of the surrounding heritage buildings. The workshop houses offices, a practical workshop, and mechanical services. An additional plantroom was installed in the existing basement of the Library building.
